CALL FOR WRITERS

What?
War Room Content (WRC) is looking for TV scriptwriters to join its endeavour in developing impactful, fresh and authentic international TV series. Each writer will be invited to participate in brainstorming sessions with investigative journalists, experts, civil society actors, to create a TV series project. Each writer will then work in writers’ room together with European co-writers and experts, to produce a series bible and a pilot script. Writers will also have a chance to collaborate with IP developers to possibly expand the world of the series to graphic novels, videogames and other formats.
War Room Content is run by Dark Riviera AB (Sweden), Sciapode SA (France), in partnerships with Pavla Holcová (ICJK / OCCRP) nominated for Nobel Peace Prize, Reporters Without Borders, YLE (Finland), the European Union, Serial Killer (Czechia) and the Segerstedt Institute.

Who can apply?
European writers who are citizens of a European Union member state, with at least one TV series produced. Excellent communication skills in English are a must because you will be working in an international environment.

Because you want to take part in the War Room Content mission: create innovative European TV series with a strong local anchor and international appeal that have an impact on society.
Europeans must deal with human security (war, peace, rule of law, organized crime, corruption, arms races, distrust, health and diseases, poverty, social and human rights, terrorism), the impact of technology (disinformation, artificial intelligence, social media, media literacy, mental health), their own impact on the environment (climate change, destruction, pollution, ecological security and diversity) and strengthen their unity through diversity (migration, the role of borders, demographics, education, sexuality & genre relationship, ethnic and cultural identities, languages), and the entertainment industry should take its full responsibility.
